Belated Happy New Year

New year, and I'm getting no better at posting regularly. But I am still knitting. In the last couple of weeks, I've finished these two small projects.
I've been meaning to knit gloves for a while, to replace a pair that got damaged during a snowball fight on my ski holiday last year. I've seen a lot of these convertible type mittens recently and they looked like a good idea. The pattern for these started with Hooray for Me Gloves from Marnie MacClean, free on her website. The mitten flaps were kind of made up. The weather hasn't been cold enough to properly test them yet. They are knitted in Jaeger Matchmaker 4 ply, a bargain from John Lewis in the recent sales.

The second finished project was a very quick one. These are Saartje's Bootees. Taking less than an evening to knit, they have turned out really cute, and I can see me knitting more of these in the future.
